Aquaculture subsidies Cantabria (Spain)
Open until April 1 the deadline to apply for aid for productive investments in aquaculture in Cantabria. The aid is aimed at aquaculture SMEs to promote sustainable aquaculture from the environmental point of view, efficient in the use of resources, innovative, competitive and based on knowledge.

Growing of the fish at the IRTA
Half and a year after the installation of the second prototype of ELOXIRAS® at IRTA (Tarragona), it can be seen that the sea bass and gilthead seabream used in the validation tests carried out by APRIA Systems have grown adequately and healthily.

- Financial aid for aquaculture activities, processing of fishery products and aquaculture (Asturias, Spain).
- Subsidies for productive investments, increase in energy efficiency and promotion of the conversion of aquaculture companies to renewable energy sources, and for obtaining technical, scientific, legal, environmental or economic advisory services in the field of aquaculture (Galicia, Spain).

Case study of ELOXIRAS
A first case study has been developed for the validation of one an ELOXIRAS® system installed. The study evaluates the first 30 days of system operation, comparing the behaviour with conventional technology. The results were very promising, check it out!
Growth forecast for seabream and seabass
According to the European Observatory of Fisheries and Aquaculture Markets (EUMOFA), an increase in the production of seabream and seabass at European level is expected in 2018, reaching a volume of 372,000 metric tons. It is estimated a 4.79% increase in the production of seabass, reaching 167,000 tons of production. An increase in the volume of seabream of 6.34% is foreseen, reaching 205,000 tons.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has published on its webpage the patent applied by APRIA Systems for its innovative process ELOXIRAS®.
Visit School of Aquaculture-IES Alfacs
Students from the School of Aquaculture of IES Alfacs have visited ELOXIRAS® plant, located at IRTA facilities, where prototype validation tests are being conducted.
APRIA Systems appears in the article "Relevant SMEs" of the magazine Cantabria Negocios because it is one of the thirteen Cantabrian companies that have obtained funding through the SME Instrument of the EU. This tool aims to promote the implementation of highly innovative projects.
