First ELOXIRAS prototype built
The first prototype reactors for ELOXIRAS are finished and will be exhibited at AQUACULTURE EUROPE 16 (AE2016 ) fair to be held in Edinburgh , Scotland , 20-23 September 2016 .
APRIA Systems has developed SiTELOX. SiTELOX is a simulation tool that allows to easily calculate:
- Impact of ELOXIRAS® on the water quality of your Recirculating Systems. Evolution of the main pollutants over time can be simulated and compared with those estimated for other treatment solutions.
- Sizing and integration details within your facilities.
- Potential increment of your productivity and reduction on environmental impact.
- A first apporach to economics including estimation of investment, O&M costs and interesting payback scenarios.

ELOXIRAS in the AIChE Annual Meeting for the Environmental Division
The abstract entitled “Innovative Water Treatment Process Based on Electrochemical Oxidation for the Regeneration and Reuse of Water in Marine Recirculating Aquaculture Systems: Eloxiras” has been accepted for poster presentation in the AIChE Annual Meeting for the Environmental Division that will be held from November 13 to 18, 2016 in San Francisco, CA.The AIChE Annual Meeting is the premier educational forum for chemical engineers interested in innovation and professional growth. Academic and industry experts will cover wide range of topics relevant to cutting-edge research, new technologies, and emerging growth areas in chemical engineering.

ELOXIRAS in 2nd E3 Mediterranean Symposium: Electrochemistry for Environment and Energy
The abstract entitled “Electrochemical Performance of an Innovate Water Treatment Technology in Aquaculture: ELOXIRAS” has been accepted for presentation as a poster communication in the second edition of the E3 Mediterranean Symposium: Electrochemistry for Environment and Energy, that will be held from September 14 to 16, 2016 in Gargnano (Garda Lake), Italy.
E3 2016 is organized by the electrochemists of Università degli Studi di Milano, Università di Milano Bicocca and Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the Group of Electrochemistry of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry and the Board of the Electrochemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society. E32016 aims at further promoting the collaboration between the Spanish and Italian electrochemists, as well as those of other countries in the Mediterranean area, mainly involved in the fields of environmental electrochemistry and energy conversion and storage.
ELOXIRAS IN AQUACULTURE EUROPE 16
The abstract entitled “ELOXIRAS: Innovative Water Treatment Process based on Electrochemical Oxidation for the Regeneration and Reuse of Water in Marine Recirculating Aquaculture Systems” has been accepted for presentation in AE2016, to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland, 20-23 September 2016. AE2016 is organised by the European Aquaculture Society with the cooperation and support of Marine Scotland and The Marine Alliance for Science and Technology for Scotland. AE2016 will feature a scientific conference, an international trade event, special sessions for aquaculture producers and satellite workshops and events.
First ELOXIRAS prototype reactors went into production
Upgraded versions of ELOXIRAS electrochemical oxidation reactors started their construction step at MAGNETO´s factory in Schiedam (The Netherlands). They are expected to be available in a fewweeks in order to integrate them into the complete ELOXIRAS prototypes to be used during validation trials at RAS facilities.

ELOXIRAS electrochemical reactor
First version of upgraded ELOXIRAS electrochemical reactor is reviewed and discussed by APRIA and MAGNETO at MAGNETO´s headquarters (Schiedam, The Netherlands). Promising results in terms of energy efficiency and investment cost reduction are estimated. These upgraded versions will be tested within ELOXIRAS prototypes at RAS facilities.
